Working at the Hoover Institution Library and Archives for 13 years was one of the defining experiences of my life. As an archivist I came to appreciate the great work done by my colleagues to preserve history. Here’s an example of the painstaking lengths that the audio-visual staff goes to in rescuing precious World War II records from the “dustbin of history”.
