JD Vance was in town for a donor event so local Trump supporters gave him a warm welcome. Only a few local nuts flipped us off or cursed at us. The event was a positive and inspiring democratic manifestation of support for a presidential candidate in the constitutional republic that is the United States. I was especially heartened by the number of people honking their support, many of them Hispanic day laborers, immigrant families and public sector employees.
