Thanks to John Derbyshire via VDare I came across the video below of another favorite pundit of mine, Mark Steyn. In the video Steyn notes the childlessness of most of the leaders of the EU’s founding member states, and thus their utter fecklessness towards the demographic tsunami facing Europe from Africa.
The key graph that Steyn highlights was created by Steve Sailer showing the population growth of Africa versus Europe from 1950 to the projected growth in Africa and stagnation in Europe through the end of the 21st century.
I agree with both Sailer and Steyn that this is “the world’s most important graph”, because of course the African population explosion won’t be contained within the continent. As Steyn notes, Western medical advances have made African births more viable than ever, creating tremendous population growth in countries without the infrastructure or resources to accomodate it.
The massive migrant influx to Europe since 2015 isn’t even 0.1% of the population of Africa and the Middle East. Since the dysfunctionality of those regions doesn’t seem to be abating in the least (with no help from U.S. military interventions) the flow of migrants will continue, greatly exacerbated by Turkey which has recently announced “Europe has not kept its promises on the migrant deal, for us that agreement has ended.” This sets the stage for as many as 2 million migrants currently in Turkey to be set loose on Europe. Add to this the shocking phenomenon of NGO “Refugee Rescue” ships sailing into Libyan territorial waters, picking up “refugees” within sight of shore and transporting them to Italy!
European leaders are aware of this problem, but it remains to be seen if they have the fortitude to stop it. In any case the mass relocation of Africans into Europe is not even a temporary solution, its continental suicide.
