While the mass media shines a spotlight on the shameful behavior of NFL players, pretending they are oppressed heroes, one thing that doesn’t get highlighted enough is the rampant criminality among players. NFLarrest.com provides an easy way to track the criminal history of every team in the league.
Michael Savage had a good take on the situation in his opening monologue yesterday:
President Trump says players who protested the National Anthem being played before games should be fired from their teams over the weekend, and the whole world exploded. Yesterday, America was treated to NFL players taking a knee, or sitting or locking arms while the national anthem was being played in protest of what the President said. Well, guess what? They weren’t protesting a President, they were giving a big middle finger to the country.
That flag and that song should be a unifying moment, a moment to say ‘no matter what differences we have, we are all American, and it’s a privilege to be one.’ But a bad player, influenced by his radical Muslim girlfriend last year decided to make it about him. He claimed to be protesting the killing of black men in America by the police while at the same time wearing a shirt praising the Castros of Cuba. And it’s spread to this. ‘He’s practicing his first amendment rights’ everyone said.
Well Donald Trump practiced his first amendment rights and an entire league lost their minds. This tradition goes back a hundred years to World War 1. The people loved their country then, with boys fighting overseas in a horrible war. We have soldiers on the battlefield today, and these players just spit on them. The national anthem is about a nation, not about a President. And if these thugs don’t know that, they should be thrown off the team. (Read or listen to the rest here)
Savage makes a good point, President Trump was only using his first amendment right to criticize the multi-millionaire thugs, but the squeals of opposition would have you believe he has no right to even open his mouth. The President has taken an important stand in America’s generations-long culture war, and its one of the few times that has been done on behalf of America, against the SJW (Social Justice Warrior), police-hating, military-hating left. Despite what his detractors may think, Donald Trump will not only come out of this situation stronger, he probably guaranteed his re-election in 2020, as long as he doesn’t backtrack from the stand he has taken.
The Anonymous Conservative has written several posts on the controversy lately, here’s his latest:
This is a rhetorical military campaign, being waged by the Patton of Persuasion, against a bunch of kindergarteners who think he has accidently committed an off-the-cuff faux pas and all they have to do is insult him back and he will regret it. In reality, Donald has already war-gammed every possibility, and has several paths to victory, even if the NFL knew how to fight back, which it doesn’t. (Read the rest)
Trump is thinking multiple steps ahead, while the best comeback the sport world has is “u bum” from LeBron James. These chumps pretending to be kings are in for a rude awakening.
